About OIRSP
Under direction of the University Chief Compliance Officer and the Vice President and Chief of Staff, safety promotion and risk assurance initiatives at UT Dallas are administered by the Office of Institutional Risk and Safety Programs (OIRSP). The Risk and Safety Programs staff is available to provide assistance in hazard Recognition, Assessment, and Mitigation, as well support for emergency Preparedness. UTD Comets are empowered to be champions at Performing safely each day. These principles form the foundation of our Safety RAMPP program and are employed in achievement of our Strategic Plan (pdf).
The Risk and Safety team is committed to ensuring our campus community has the tools needed to make active safety choices and minimize risks in our research areas, academic programs, operational and administrative units, student affairs, campus events and neighborhood environment. We support faculty, staff, students, volunteers and visitors to our UTD campus locations.
