Measles Advisory

With outbreaks of measles in the news lately, UT Dallas wants to share some information to help increase awareness and avoid potential anxiety surrounding this preventable disease.

There has not been a confirmed case of measles at UT Dallas.

While UT Dallas does not require a measles vaccine, it is encouraged since measles is highly infectious among those who have not been vaccinated. All who have been immunized against measles and those born before 1957 are not at risk.

Students who have any questions or concerns may contact the Student Health Center (972.883.2747 / Faculty and staff with questions should contact their health care provider or visit the Dallas County Health and Human Services website.

The Student Health Center is located on the fourth floor of the Student Services Building (SSB 4.700). The center is open Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and is closed on weekends and University holidays.
